who wanted an even tinier, shittier Paras? I certainly didn't. And look how he's coming out of the mushroom, shouldn't it be the other way around? the mushroom is a parasite on the bug, right? this is ruining the lore and I won't stand for it.

Ok, so there's an episode in the anime, where some Paras are planting the mushrooms on their backs to grow them. Maybe they are laying their eggs into the mushrooms, the young Para hatch and feed on those. Maybe the spores infest them at this state and everything comes full circle. Would be a cool idea, imho.
