Okay, no. This is not what the pinnacle of "dragon" looks like. This is what you get when you take the Dragon Tails dragons and tell them to introduce you to their Japanese cousin. Dragonite sucks ass.
Dratini to Dragonair is a logical progression. But for Dragonite, they changed the color, completely changed the skeletal structure, changed the head-wings into antennae, and gave it the derpiest grin this side of Herpingsville.
I really wanted some sort of giant majestic sky snake dragon, terrible and beautiful at the same time. But instead, I got some sort of sing-a-long reject.
at one point Dragonite even carried some mail. What the hell. That is stupid and lame and Dragonite is a slap in the face of dragons everywhere.

this is the original pseudo legendary... wheres the 11/10?

Dratini is such a cute baby snake dragon, dragonair looks so beautiful and legendary do to those wings on his head, than you get the lame cartoon reject called dragonite, he literally looks like a lame dragon that came out of a lame children's book or a children's musical movie (Ps: ALL MUSICALS ARE FUCKING LAME!

Many asian folklore depict a water snake ascending into the sky, becoming a dragon. I know, dragonite looks horrible and cartoony, but those legends are probably where it came from.

ReplyDeleteDragonite is a 20/10. Literally the greatest Pokémon of all time. One of the best stat-wise, but the undisputed greatest Pokémon design of all time. One of the most beloved and iconic pocket monsters of all time. The lighthouse episode is also one of best Pokémon anime episodes.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Barney the dinosaur due to its childish design. But at least Barney had teeth. This pokemon looks like the one you would show grandma in order to prove that Pokémon is rated E for everyone.
