pronounced "rai-koh"
The legendary dogs were kind of a pain in the ass. You had to run around and weaken them down, then chase them around some more and throw balls at them. It got to the point where you almost wanted to just toss your frigging master ball at them, just to END IT, but NO, you knew you would have to use it later for something like Ho-oh in Silver.
anyway, I never even bothered to catch them all. I just didn't care enough. But I did make sure to catch Raikou, who is a thunder leopard dog with a storm cloud on his back.
He looks majestic and badass, and definitely fits the definition of "legendary". I only question calling them "dogs". I mean, Raikou looks more like a saber-tooth tiger.
Overall: 10/10
i like the 'legendary dogs" as you call them. only i chased raikou and Entei just to defeat them. i wanted to prove to myself i was strong enough to defeat the legendarys. i have no need or want to capture them. but i have a friend that says that i should have captured them. what do you think?
ReplyDeleteLegendary's are weak... you catch them to make them strong...
ReplyDeletewhen you're at level 35-40, a level 40 legendary dog can be a handful. Taking the time at that moment to hunt them down and defeat them would, in my opinion, be good training.
ReplyDeletebut if you leave them until you're at like level 50, then yeah, they're going to seem weak.
that sorta what i did. though i never actually chased them. that takes way too much time. if i had chased them, i would still be doing gym battles. though when i did get to battle them, i got raikou`s health down to the red zone. he ran. Entei was harder. though after each hit, he ran. and the last i saw of suicune, i still had yet to do the mahogany and blackthorn town gyms.
ReplyDeleteFun Fact: The dogs were actiully meant to be cats all alonmg. Only lateron they were changed to "Legendary Beasts"
ReplyDeletesounds a whole lot like nostalgia to me. Personally, I think the 3 beasts are crazy overdesigned, and this one is the worst offender. he has 7 colors, a black mask with double bumps, spiked electro whiskers, a moustache that curls around the back of his head and then curls again in two places, a purple negative space (which just doesn't seem to work well without black), 5 curls in his cape, stripes of varying shape all over his body, yellow as the main color, accentuated by white (again a terrible color combo), sabre tooth fangs, crotch hair, pronounced white buttcheeks that also have swirls in them, and a randomly-colored tail that bends twice and is covered in spikes. Digimon couldn't make a more overdesigned creature.
