3rd Anniversary

Hot damn, I missed it.

On Nov. 3rd, NAPACE turned 3 years old. That just seems so crazy bananas to me.

Makes me wonder if it'll be around for the 4th? Probably not, because unless I really step up the procrastination game, the 5th Gen ought to finish sometime in the Spring. And I doubt there'll be a new generation around for me to review by then...

huh. Maybe I can move on to judging the shit out of something else? Preferably Pokemon-related? What would you guys like to see this blog tackle, if anything?

Well, I'll just burn that bridge when I come to it. But for now, thanks for reading the Pokemon-induced rantings of a madman.

Just remember to not believe anyone who tells you every Pokemon can be a star, that's blatantly false. Not all Pokemon are Created Equal, after all. And it's my job to tell the unenlightened masses which ones are more equal than the rest.

  1. You could always review the various trainer classes. To start with anyway.

  2. im rarely interested in reading blogs or timely features like your but this blog of yours always interested me, ive been reading it ever since i saw it linked in arlong park (i think you were reviewing zapdos at the time).

So, in order to continue this interesting i would like to see you review Digimon (if not pokemon related and you like it), or something like League of Legends champions, maybe One piece arcs/characters, anything with an extensive list of "characters" really (final fantasy characters, monster ranch, manga...)
just keep the rating system and keep the reviews casual :)

  3. If you may, review the various Pokemon manga. Your stuff is always fun to read.

  4. Congrats, man! Here's to another three years. You could always go on hiatus until the sixth generation comes out... Or review the games or something, I dunno. Characters maybe?

But anyway, I just want to say that I've immensely enjoyed this blog from the very beginning. Though at times you hit periods of procrastination, you chugged on through. That's some admirable dedication right there.

Again, congrats. Cheers to the only blog I read.

  5. I think reviewing the manga would be cool, like Anon 2 said. Maybe compare the manga characters to their anime selves? I would really read anything you post, so anything is cool with me. Congrats on 3 years, and hopefully there'll be many, many more.

  6. On top of what anon #1 suggested, how about the various named NPCs on top of that. Rivals, Gym leaders, Elite 4 members, Champions, evil Team members, could even go one step further and not limit it to battlers, such as the Professors.

And then how about moves? How good an attack is for when it's learned by the average Pokemon that learns it, that sort of thing.

After that you could do locations? Like the look of towns, the annoyence of getting through some caves, rating what Pokemon are available in a given place. That sort of thing.

Those should last until a 6th gen at least.

  7. Don't you already have Mangababy? Speaking of which, what did you think of the end of Reborn?

  8. I'm from Arlong Park too. Seems like at least 3 people are here from there.

Just continue something with Pokemon! This is the only blog-like thingy i'm reading and i really want to see you review other PKM-related stuff.

    Congratulations BTW!

  9. I suppose I could do Gym Leaders and trainer classes, I definitely have opinions about those.

Locations and Music, not so much. They honestly all blur together to me.

and moves/abilities, those stray into the "factually one is better than the other" territory, while I like to project subjective opinions as objective facts.

as for mangababy, my other, manga-related blog, I dunno. Maybe I'll take the downtime to revive it, but I'd be lying if I said I don't have other things in the works. A romhack, for example.

There's a lot of places I could go (at least until gen 6), so I'll ruminate on this counsel, and bring it up again as we near that Fateful Date.

  11. I'm a little late to the suggestion party, but when you run out of Pokemon, you could always review Fire Emblem characters, or- like someone else already suggested- Digimon. Anything to keep your witty commentary a thing I can look forward to on bad days :)
