It happened. It freaking happened.
In case you don't know, click on this fine link.
that's right, Pokemon is coming to 3DS, coming to fully-3D world instead of sprites, coming to EVERYWHERE in october, and coming with a whole new generation of Pokemon for me too review.
Looks like I won't be out of a job for a while, huh?
Preliminary knee-jerk judgement of new Pokemon shown
I can't tell what Chespin is supposed to be, he looks stupid.
Fennekin looks super generic, like the kind of thing I'd find on Route 3.
Froakie looks the best out of the three, but even he's a little boring.
Y-dragon looks kinda neat, I hope it'll be named Y-vern or something.
X-deer looks amazingly badasses, dude has swords for legs, that's crazy crap, this guy alone might decide which version I'm getting.
what do you guys think? is Gen 6 off to a good start?
LOVE the X deer. I have a soft spot for deer in general, so a legendary deer Pokemon is just incredible. And it looks like the Princess Mononoke forest god too! And sword legs! And X's for irises! That is just wicked awesome.
ReplyDeleteY bird is good too, like a more badass Mandibuzz what with the mane at the neck, but I just like X so much.
It ultimately depends on what each version has to offer- like with Black/White, one had more Pokemon and the other more items, and I prefer more Pokemon even if I like Reshiram more.
I think Gen. 6 is off to a good start, but what's the theme going to be? We already have weather, space, time, distortion, creation, Yin, Yang and null. Life and death would be a little repetitive with Arceus's existence (didn't it create all life?), or maybe Gen 6 would explore the Ghost/Spirit world more?
It also takes place in France/ Europe based. This is going to be a good gen.
Same Anon as before, the deer is named Xerneas and the bird Yveltal.
DeleteJust thought I'd say that the theme seemed really obvious to me...
DeletePokemon X and Y? The third game will be Pokemon Z (You know they'll make it) and it will be ALL about the 3D.
So it will probably be about other dimensions and stuff like that.
I've heard that it's most likely genetics, because the Japanese logos have a rainbow-colored double helix on them. But then what would that make Mew, the new species Pokemon? And Deoxys, the DNA pokemon?
DeleteDimensions would make sense, but isn't Palkia associated with Space (dimension) and Matter? Again, that's being repetitive in theme. Maybe it's none of the above, and something completely different.
I thought it was genetics too. It was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard X and Y. If they introduce a pokemon Z or something, then it'll be more about dimensions like in physics and math. Either way, I'm looking forward to this new generation.
DeleteIt's funny to me that Chespin is getting tons of hate, because it's the one I like best.
ReplyDeleteFennekin and Y are already massively overrated. And the worst to me is X. There's too much going on (ironic coming from me.)
CONFIRMED: new Porygon 2 split evos: Porygon-X and Porygon-Y.
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteSWEET!
ReplyDeleteJust got the info of my friend.
Just in time when I get my 3DS XL
It's strange you gave Yveltal a higher score, looking at the post. You made it seem like you absolutely loved Xerneas, and felt that Yveltal was inferior. But I have to say, I'm glad you came around. Yveltal is clearly superior.
